Our first multi-year plan to engage parents and school communities to DREAM BIG for all students is now complete!
Parents Engaged in Education embarked on a multi-year plan to inspire parents and educational communities to DREAM BIG for all students in Ontario. This plan brought together parents and educators from every school, ethnicity, indigenous along with new Canadians and support them to DREAM BIG for their children and their school communities.
The research has shown, almost from the time that this type of data has been studied, that when parents and others DREAM BIG for their children, they will strive to achieve these goals thereby increasing their academic performance.
Supporting your child’s dreams is equally important as having your own dreams for them. Do you have a rock star in the family? Instead of saying “you will never be a rock star”, think of implying “that is a fantastic goal, but be sure to be the best rock star ever by learning all about accounting, creative writing, social media, understanding legal contracts etc.”.
We have developed a number of great products to support our DREAM BIG philosophy, but none as important as our “DREAM TREE” banner.
The DREAM TREE banner is vinyl and is 5 ft. by 6 ft. The tree has more than a hundred blank leaves allowing students, parents and educators to write their dreams for themselves and their school. This banner stands as a positive living example for people who come into the school that This School Dreams Big where students are encouraged to be their best self.
